Why didn’t Muslims mention Easter in condemnation of terror attack? ask right-wingers

A Twitter storm erupted after the Islamic Society of Britain issued a statement condemning yesterday’s London terror attack without mentioning Easter.

Right-wing Twitter users accused the Islamic organisation of being ‘non-Christian’ for making no mention of the forthcoming Christian holiday.

One tweeted the society asking: ‘My kids have just asked why the word “Easter” is no longer mentioned in every tweet around Easter time. What should I tell them please?’

The society replied: ‘It’s not true we removed ‘Easter’ from our statement. It was just not included in the same way it would not be in other statements about things unrelated to Easter, like socks or staircases.’

Human hate-engine Katie Hopkins responded in her newspaper column: ‘This is us now.

‘This is our country now.

‘This is what we have become.

‘To this, we have been reduced.

‘We are wrenched asunder.

‘Other words also.

‘You get the gist.

‘I hate you.’
